Quick Holiday by Lake Rotorua

We have just been for a weekend trip to Rotorua for my Great Aunty Val's 70th party. It was very busy with lots of people I didn't know but they were all very nice and there was a staircase that I went up and down all nightlong. Here's me, my Dad and my Great Nana Kaye (and Pippa in the corner) at the party. We stayed at a wee holiday house beside a river that runs between Lake Rotorua and Lake Rotoiti and there was a bridge to a little island at the end of our garden. Here's Dad, Pippa and I on the bridge.

There were so many birds flying around and we had one lovely white duck living under the bridge.
We had a spa pool in the garden which was fun for Mum and Dad (I have a bad cold so wasn't allowed to go in!) Here are our friends from Wellington, Tony, Anna and Evie, who we bumped into in a cafe in Rotorua, in the spa pool, in the pouring rain.

Cousin Iris comes to Stay

A couple of weekends ago my cousin Iris came for the weekend and we had a fun time together. We both have tigers, here we are swapping our tigers for a big tiger hug.

She is really into dancing to Allegria and I joined in... here are a few new moves I picked up from her!

Holiday at Wahi

Our latest trip was to Wahi to see Tess, Brian, Aoife, Ben and Chiara.
Here we are at the ferry terminal waiting for Dad in the rental car.

Ben is 4 and a boy and full of energy and fun. I had such a great time with them all in their house FILLED with toys. It was freezing and Mum and Tess shopped for trees for a new orchard they are planting in the big paddock at the back of their house. Here's a picture of Ben and I at the garden centre.

So we picked fruit and looked around Wahi and spent ages by fires while Mum chatted to Tess and drank so many cups of tea. Dad was off working and joined us later in the week for a night before we went home. It was a lovely wintery holiday with my new friends.

Since we came back we have had huge storms, trees in our garden have fallen over and we lost our electricity for a couple of days so no Fimbles on the TV (my favourite dvd). So Mum has been getting me to help around the house... here's me on dishes.

New Plymouth Holiday

We have recently been to New Plymouth to stay with Grandma and Tony. It was such a lovely holiday. Here's a picture of my grandad Tony and I with our new scarves. Grandma knitted me this cool colourful scarf in 48 hours and Tony bought his from his old university centenary.
Here's Grandma and I reading books in the morning in our dressing gowns.
This is me in my new Superman t-shirt that my cousin Bruno sent from London.
Dad and I went on this little train. That is the train driver in the front, I think he has been driving the train for many years! Mum used to go for rides on this train when she was a little girl.
